TOURS & ACTIVITIES
Canopy Tour
The Montezuma Waterfall Canopy Tour is one of the zone's premier attractions. The canopy consists of a series of nine cables and eleven platforms suspended high above the forest floor. The guests glide along the cables using a pully and a breaking device.
Our local, English speaking guides are experienced and are trained in First Aid to ensure that this tour is safe and easy for all visitors.
While on the canopy tour you will see a number of plants and animals unique to Costa Rica, possibly including howler and white-faced monkeys, parrots, and iguanas.
The course follows the Montezuma river and gives you an opportunity to visit the famous waterfalls where you can take pictures and go for a swim in the pools carved by the cascading waters. This is an experience that should not be missed.
Three Island Tour
Come and experience some of Costa Rica's beaches. This island tour takes you to Isla Tortuga, magical Playa Quesera and Playa Muertos.
The tour starts 8:30 am at Bahia Ballena where you will board 34 foot " Yate Garabito" which is designed for fishing and recreation. During the trip you will have the opportunity to do a little fishing where you may have the opportunity of catching from dorado, macarella or pargo among others.
During your visit to the islands you will enjoy some of the best beaches, snorkeling and first instructions on diving from a licensed instructor. Tour includes refreshments, fruits and lunch.
Tours return to Bahia Ballena at around 4:00 pm.
Horseback Riding
Ride through the rolling hills, through jungle and teak forests or local working cattle ranches.
Enjoy magnificent cliff top views or refreshing dips and swim at a waterfall. Experience the quiet ride through a private nature reserve and view the diversity of birds and animals often discovered along the way down to the ocean.
Gallop long stretches of white sand beaches at the Pacific and play with our horses in the water. We do not offer the usual trail ride, we plan all our tours with our guests, depending on the rider’s experience and personal expectations.
The tours are from 2 to 5 hours or more. Over easy or more challenging terrain, a pleasure for first time and expert riders.
All tours are guided. We use this ranch and not another because the horses in this ranch are much loved and well maintained, providing both the rider and the horse peace of mind. Horses in this ranch are typical local "Criollos". Their ancestors were brought into Costa Rica from Spain in the 16th century. They are strong, sure footed and forward going, perfect for the tropical climate and the trails in this area. Horses are equipped with comfortable and light western style saddles.
Enjoy with us the quiet experience of riding in our beautiful countryside and world class beaches.
